　Morrisonの死後、グループは新しいボーカリストを加えず三人で続けていくことにし、前作から半年後に発表したアルバムがこれ。ベースにJack Conrad、Jerry Scheff、パーカッションにFrancisco Aguabella など数名が参加している。殆どの曲でManzarekがボーカルを取っているがやはり力量不足ははっきりとしている。ウエストコーストのロックグループとして聴くならそれなりに楽しめるが、The Doorsという看板はカリスマを失っては重すぎる。それでもSide1-3は従来のイメージを思い起こさせるし、Side1-2、Side2-2などのホンキィトンク調の曲が聴きどころ。

　二枚目のベストアルバム。タイトルはThe Endの一説から取られている。"13"とは曲が重複していない。Side3-5は"Soft Parade"からのセカンドシングル"Wishful Sinful"(Electra EK45656 '69年2月発売）)のB面曲。Side3-6は"L.A.Woman"からのシングル"Love Her Madly"(Electra EKS 45726 '71年3月発売）のB面曲で、LPに収められるのは初めて。彼等の本質に迫るには最も適したベストアルバム。

　1978年に突然発表された新録のアルバム。Morrisonが生前録音していた詩のテープにオリジナルメンバーの三人がそれにふさわしいバッキングを付け加え編集したもの。サウンドの一部には71年以前の未発表録音も使われているという。ステージでは芝居がかった振り付けで唄ったり、自作の詩をバンドのフリーフォームな演奏に載せて朗読したりしていたが、これは単なる朗読のレコードではなくライブで行われていたJim Morrison & Doorsの世界を耳から聞き手の中に作り上げることができるような見事な構成になっている。Side2-3はそれまで未発表のライブ録音。アルバムには8ページ立ての詩や写真の付いたブックレットが付いている。
